Caravan Adventures with Christine & Dorothy

At last we did it, we bought a caravan. So now we have a boat a
canoe and a caravan.

The caravan turned out
not to be the cheaper end of the market
as Kenny had hoped, but new and unused by any other person
(as I had stipulated once I spotted some stains on a seat in a
previously owned caravan!). And as Kenny then observed as only
he can, "No one has farted in here before, it's all fresh and new!"

So Dorothy became our newest family member.

How the caravan became known as Dorothy I'm not sure, but it
happened somehow and the name stuck. It suits her too, prim and
proper, new and stylish. She's perfect.

Christine on the other hand is nowhere near new but she's a
classy piece of work, top of the range and well-built. We got her
four years ago when Kenny needed to replace his work van. His
love of Volvos was obvious as he drooled over her silver
bodywork on the garage forecourt.

And Christine was made to tow. Her 3 litre engine and solid estate
build make her ideal.

Christine and Dorothy are a match made in heaven.

We hope you enjoy reading about our travels together.

Dorothy is an Avondale Argente 480/2

Unfortunately, Avondale have now
gone into liquidation, shame because
they made very nice caravans.
