LCDA THS Ruthin Day 4

Easter Sunday, not much is going to be open so it’s a lazy day plus we have to see if the Easter Bunny has been to the site.

Yes the Easter Bunny had been to the site indeed our van appeared to have laid a couple of eggs. There were eggs on the back handles. Soon the kids started to make their way to the Marquee so it won’t be long before there is a small riot as all the kids run around finding as many eggs as they could as quickly as they could.

The Easter Bunny even visited our van.

Then the fun and games start

Games were organised by Jackie our steward for the weekend

After all the fun and games we all gathered in the Marquee for the drawing of the raffle and the prize giving for the various competitions over the weekend including an Easter Bonnet parade.

This is our last night and the horrible task of packing up would be tomorrow. Well I’m not making a separate post about packing up surfice to say it rained all night long. Still raining in the morning we packed up our awning. The full awning that was on it’s maiden voyage. At least we know it does not leak!
The awning went away soaking wet. Luckily we had decided to remove the side panels to make it lighter when we put it up next time. Getting off the field was a bit of fun as all the rain had made it soft and slippy.

When we arrived hope the sun had of course come out so we decided to get the awning out and try to get it dry….. Mission accomplished!

Now where to next?
