Scotland
We visited Scotland back in 2007 and took some fantastic photos.
To break up the long journey to our first stop of Portpatrick, we stayed one night in Keswick in the Lake District (see our Lake District page). We spent 3 nights in Portpatrick and 3 nights at Loch Lomond before heading back to Keswick for 2 nights, then home to Poole.

Threave Castle can only
be reached by walking
about half a mile and then
taking the ferry (which is
just a small boat) and is
well worth the effort!
Portpatrick was our first stop for 3
nights and this was the view from our
room! Stunning place.

We walked from Portpatrick
southwards to Dunskey Castle along a
breathtaking cliff path and it was there
we saw a caravan on a cliff edge site
that led to us becoming caravanners!
Loch Lomond where we stayed, right
on the loch edge with fantastic views.
