We have just returned from a fab week in Cornwall, mixed weather but Paul still returned with a sun tan.
Us at Newquay Towan BeachWe stayed at Sunny Meadows Tourist Park at Goonhaven just outside Perranporth.
The site is a well kept gently sloping site with 4 camping areas for tents and caravans plus 4 statics on site. When we were there in May a Fish & Chip van visited twice a week, there is a bust stop very close and a pub in staggering distance. There is a childrens play area and a games room for wet weather, a laundry, washing up area and information point.
We visited with a THS run by Cornwall DA. We had full use of site facilities, often on a DA meet when on a regular site you are not allowed to use toilets and showers etc.. because you’re not paying full site fees. Can’t blame them, but we had full use for this THS.
We would certainly recommend using a THS if you are a member. It can work out much cheaper than using the regular site, on this occasion it was about £6 per night less on the THS.
