Today we set off for France. First stop La Tranche Sur Mer in the Vendée.

We are catching the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Cean leaving about a 4 hour drive to La Tranche, a bit longer if we opt to use the Non Toll roads.

We have visited the area many times in the past and fancied a return visit. We had even passed this site before.

Our first site is Camping Bel a 4* site on the edge of town close to everything.

La Tranche is a charming town in the Southern Vendée with long sandy beaches, a marina, a lovely market in the town square and of course a large Super U on the outskirts of town.
