We visited Dale Hey on 14th – 16th September with a Camping & Caravanning Club Rally run by Lancs & Cheshire DA.
The site has hard standing pitches, grass pitches, a rally field and a storage area. Toilets, Showers, a Dog/Bike wash and an activities hall.

The approach to the site from either Blackburn or Longridge is easy, no narrow lanes just one bridge to negotiate from Blackburn but it’s no problem. There is a length restriction on the road but it is aimed at trucks over 42′ long.

The site was immaculate during our visit. Grass was lush and green and well manicured. The hard standings were white stone chippings hard packed but not so hard you can’t get a rock peg in for an awning.

This is a bike full of knitted poppy’s in Longridge.

There is a dog walk area which is in a woodland area surrounding the site. There are Doggy Waste bins provided.

Dog walking in the rain…..Great!

As we were on a rally and were getting quite a significant discount the toilet and shower facilities were not actually available to us, however I did manage to get a look in the Mens and disabled facilities. They were perfectly adequate and clean so I have no reason to suspect that the ladies was any different.

Overall this is a site that we will return to. Given the time of the season this site was in fantastic condition which must indicate the care and attention taken by the owners.
