So Recently on a Saturday with nothing else planned it was decided that we should visit a Farm Shop that Mrs CA had seen on the Instaweb thingy.
Said shop was in Mossley. A surprisingly nice little shop with some nice produce and Not Extortionate prices. Various veg was procured and we left when I announced that there is another shop I had seen a sign for but never visited over between Stalyvagus (Stalybridge) & Mottram. Another nice little shop actually on the Farm. Cool kids play area and Alpacas.
“Where can we go now?” she asks. “What is near here?”
“We’re not far from Glossop” says I
“OOh let’s go and have a mooch. Be rude not to” she says.
We arrive and park the car & head into the Awning Shop. We Don’t Need Another One!!
Head downstairs into the accessory shop. Not much we don’t have, a few neat ideas but nothing we actually need or have room for.
Outside to mooch in the new caravans and comment on why we don’t need a new one and why we don’t like the new design. when of course she finds the most expensive caravans in the place.
In she goes! and of course falls in love with the New 2026 Coachman Lusso 1. By the time I limp over (I’ve got a knee thing going on) she has planned out the storage of all the “essentials” that live in our caravan & is sat on the couch watching the imaginary TV & dreaming of Luxury!
“We can never afford this” she says. When along walks Eddy, the salesman who sold us our last 2 caravans. “Come and have a coffee and I’ll see what deal I can do for you.
So with Zero expectations we sit down with Eddy and a coffee, he tells us how much our caravan is worth to our shock & laughter it’s not worth as much as we thought…As a trade in. when we look at sales prices its worth much more (of course).
Eddy juggles some figures and comes up with a monthly fee that we just burst out laughing at & said “No Way we are paying that!” He re juggles and comes down a bit. Still a No from us.
He goes to see the boss & comes down a bit more. We decide we could put in some savings and the figure comes down a bit more but still a No.
We thank Eddy for his time and trying but we walk away deciding to look at a second hand one in 12 months or so.
We headed to Sainsburys for some essential food shopping. On the way from Sainsburys to home the phone rings. She answers & it’s Eddy. “Ive spoken to the boss & he has an offer for you. £??? per month & you put in slightly less than you agreed.” We look at each other…. “We can do that” we decide. “Yes” we say. “Great I need £1000 deposit now to secure the deal & can you come in tomorrow and fill in the paperwork?”

We have now had the van for almost 2 months and have done 4 trips away. Much jealousy amongst friends.
The van is amazing and suits us down to the ground.
The only ISSUE is that the Alde heating will NOT work on gas! That is something we need to fix and soon!
