It’s Been A While

It’s been some time since we updated this site.
Sorry about that.

It’s been a bit manic hasn’t it?

We have actually managed to do some camping but not as much as we had hoped to do this year.
We have been on 3 D.A. “Pop Up Sites” and we managed to get a fortnight in Kent on a great little site. Hope Farm, a Camping & Caravan Club C.S. I’ll add a review of that site soon, it’s a great little find!

We are just entering the new phase of the COVID-19 battle and have to contend once again with our camping and other activities being restricted. Currently Manchester is still in Teir 2 but it’s very obvious that Boris and his chums have every intention of putting us in Teir 3.
In Teir 2 we could still go on our booked holiday to Cornwall next week. In fact as I write this time next week I should be just sinking my first glass of liquid refreshment having got everything all set up for the week.
In Teir 3 we are “Strongly Advised” not to travel unless it’s essential and then not to stay overnight in another area. You can still go on holiday however it must be inside your own area so anywhere in Greater Manchester and stay in Private Accommodation ie our caravan. So we can’t go to Merseyside or to Lancashire which leaves pretty much 1 site, Burrs Country Park.
If the Manchester politicians manage to tie old Boris up for another week we get to go to Cornwall but I really doubt that will happen and I kind of agree that it shouldn’t  necessary restrictions need to be in place as soon as possible.

We have also found a damp patch in our van. Well it looks like damp but a couple of weeks before we noticed it the van was serviced and the tech who did it said there was no signs of it and his damp report does not show it. So the van has to be emptied of everything including cushions and carpets to go to the dealers to be inspected. If it is damp then they will investigate the cause and order any parts to repair then we will have to empty again and take it in to be repaired.

It’s a real pain but I suppose it gives us chance to have a clear out. Just a shame the only date the dealers have is the day before our holiday! Big Rush!
