COVID-19 Hits Home

Almost 12 months into the global pandemic and being super careful Covid has hit home.
Halys made it all the way to February half term, started to feel a little rough on Friday which is actually Not unusual amongst school staff. I’ve noticed that as they reach the last day of term they seem to relax and start to feel rough for a few days, but they soon pick up as they get their first couple of lie-in’s. However on Tuesday morning Halys was feeling worse and so did one of the NHS Lateral Flow Tests that she had been supplied with by school. It came back Positive! Happy New Year!

Well that was a year!
A year and a half!!

Will 2021 be any better? Well not for a while it seems. We are still in COVID-19 restrictions although a vaccination program is starting it’s going to take a while and while we are all desperate to get out and resume “normal” life it would seem more sensible to keep the restrictions going as long as needed to get the majority vaccinated.
